Last fall, we worked with SUNY ESF, the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, to produce their Feinstone Environmental Awards program, which recognized Larry Leatherman, president of the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology (MOST), for his leadership and contributions in advancing science education.
The dinner, which focused on the importance of STEM (science technology engineering mathematics) education, featured design elements highlighting these areas. Some of our inspiration for the design: hors d’oeuvres served on mirrors imprinted with math equations, cocktails poured from chemistry flasks, and floral arrangements augmented with tablet computers. Centerpieces incorporated books, beakers, and other lab equipment.
